The underlying database and interface on the EUNIS website include text descriptions and environmental parameters, and also relationships with several other classifications and legislative systems. The EUNIS habitat classification, however, is distinct from Annex I of the EU Habitats Directive, and EUNIS has proven a most utilisable and widespread habitat database because of its hierarchical and structural complexity. |
