Description
Summary:Business can serve an important role in making the environment more sustainable. The goal of this study was to examine environmental knowledge and environmental awareness as influential components to pro-environmental behavior, specifically in the banking industry. The banking industry has established official sustainability laws requiring all companies to begin focusing on sustainability issues in their business activities. The study utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The first hypothesis was supported significantly. As a result of the first hypothesis analysis, bankers' pro-environmental behavior is substantially influenced by environmental awareness. The second hypothesis analysis found that environmental knowledge can positively boost pro-environmental behavior among bankers. However, it has been statistically proven yet insignificantly.
