description In generally official circles related with criminal justice there is a certain enthusiasm with the application of AI to the processing of criminal causes, as a means of speeding up and ensuring the equality of their processing and lowering their costs. But the truth is, as some authors and organizations have pointed out, the application of AI, based on the standardised and massive processing of data, which is not free of biases, involves serious risks for those affected. Even more so, when the criminal process in force in our countries is afflicted by a serious deficit in terms of procedural guarantees.
