Summary: | Glucosamine sulfate or hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate belong to the natural components of cartilage intercellular substance. In osteoarthrosis, they exert a pronounced symptom-modifying effect and, when used long, are also able to suppress the X-ray progression of the disease. Multi-ingredient medications containing glucosamine and chondroitin have benefits over each of them when used alone. These drugs include teraflex. The efficacy of pharmacological agents appears to be associated not so much with the stimulation of cartilage matrix synthesis as with their anti-inflammatory properties. |
