Summary: | The phenomenon of sexual violence against minors has become a social problem from national to international levels. Until now the percentage of these cases has risen sharply in various regions in Indonesia. Underage children are targeted both as perpetrators and victims of immoral behavior. One indicator is related to the pattern of the implementation of the roles, rights and responsibilities of parents towards their children in family life. Thus, the author raises the theme of the phenomenon of sexual violence against minors based on the perspective of Islamic familylaw in Indonesia (Case study in the district of Empang, Sumbawa Besar district). This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of the occurrence of sexual violence against minors based on the perspective of Islamic family law in the sub-district of Empang, Sumbawa Besar district. This study uses the Normative-Phenomenological approach, the type of which is Qualitative-Descriptive (Case Study). Data sources were obtained through observation and interview methods. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are several internal and external factors underlying the phenomenon of sexual violence against minors (a case study in the sub-district of Empang, Sumbawa Regency), such as: a). Uncontrolled patterns of free treatment and association of children from parental supervision. b). The absence of means of information, media, special socialization and counseling received by children from school institutions and the government related to the impact and dangers of early sexual violence behavior c).
