Summary:<span>The purpose of this investigation is to understand better the limitations and potential offered by the classroom for the pedagogical use of the computer. Initially, it makes a general approach to the problem, mentioning the main reasons that cause such use to be difficult. Then the method and bases of this descriptive study are presented. The paper continues by outlining the pedagogical methods habitually practiced by the teachers; the resources commonly used for these activities; the specific use made of the computer; the activities assigned to students; and finally, the difficulties encountered in students when developing classes for them. Finally, there is made a brief analysis of this information, as well as some interesting points for the integration of activities between the classroom and the computer laboratory.<br /><br /></span>
