The HFD and control groups were significantly different from each other on OPLS-DA scores. The major metabolites contributing to obesity were lipid metabolites (phosphatidylcholines, phosphatidylethanolamine, and lysophosphatidylcholines). In addition, this study revealed that glycerophospholipid metabolism, α-linolenic acid metabolism, and linoleic acid metabolism were related to obesity and obesity-associated diseases.Conclusion: These results can be used to better understand obesity and assess its risk, which will provide new ideas for treatment.Keywords: obesity, serum metabolomics, high-fat diet, UPLC-QTOF-MS technique
