Summary:The aim of this article is to analyze how the current market economy takes advantage of the patriarchal organization of sexuality. Promotional canvassing reifies women and leads to the sexist destruction of their self-esteem. Meanwhile, we are witnessing aggressive marketing on behalf of the prostitution and pornography industries that cater to the patriarchal sexuality of men. This is how capitalist and neo-liberal interests fit into the patriarchal economy of sexual exchange. Moreover, the expropriation of women's sexuality to the benefit of men seems to be industrialized and globalized. Far from being a liberating force, the commercialization of women’s sexuality as a service is actually the liberalization of the absolute sexual rights that men have over women in a patriarchy.
