description | Gold nanoparticles are synthesized by reducing Au ions using the liquid metabolic waste of Indian Gir cow (A-2) urine. Various bio-molecules present in cow urine are effectively used to reduce gold ions to gold nanoparticles in a single step. The synthesized nanomaterials were characterized using advanced characterizations which ensures the formation of gold in nano form. We characterized the commercially available Ayurvedic medicine Swarna Bhasma which contains nano-gold synthesized according to ancient Indian literature. The synthesized bio-inspired AuNPs show potential antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Then the biological activity of these two samples was comparatively studied. |
