Description
Summary:The text analyzes, from the conceptual point of view, the western and Christian cultural influence in Brazil. It points to anthropology and archeology as the genesis of the Baroque and its transfer to history. Characteristics such as contradiction, opposition, shock and tolerance represent the Iberian-European and Afro-indigenous tradition itself. In this cultural manisfestation the circular phenomenon of the exchange of influences, the set of contigences of the reality of a period - centuries XVI to XVIII - and the consolidation of the style by its popularization, still present in the quotidian, were accentuated.
