| Summary: | “The visible image of time”. Reconstruction of a talk between Valentin Rasputin and his readers
The author of the paper acquaints readers and professional philologists with a recording made on March 29, 1979 in the Great Hall of the Russian State Library in Moscow where a meeting between the Russian writer Valentin Rasputin and his readers was held. She wrote down the questions of the audience to the writer and his answers to them which represent valuable historical and literary material now the significance of which has increased for more than 30 years. The recording was reconstructed in September 2010. It reproduces the order of the answers and questions that took place during the meeting, which helps feel the atmosphere of living communication and a happy touch to the mystery of Valentin Rasputin’s literary talent and personal charisma. A certain continuation of communication with his audience is recorded in a short written dialogue between the writer and professor «Ся Чжунсянь» from Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages who was awarded the Solzhenitsyn Prize in March 2001. The talk was translated into Chinese, published in a magazine and delivered to the writer immediately. This paper presents the first publication of the material in Russian.
