| description | Mountainous territories have undergone significant transformations, as a result of the changing human land-occupation and interaction with their environment. This research in the surrounding area of Sobrepuerto (Aragonese Central Pyrenees, Spain), investigates the role of infrastructure in the reactivation of depopulated spaces, identifying different land-occupation processes which enable to discern these environments. The study is conducted through the comparative spatial analysis of the use of the land, and the realisation of semi-structured interviews. The obtained results provide novel insights into the factors which facilitate the development of these practices, and the conditions which allow to intervene in depopulated spaces. |
