Summary:This study was conducted to monitor and assess drought conditions in Wadi-Dama, north KSA, during the years 1990 and 2013. This study is based on satellite remote sensing data analysis and GIS technology for drought severity assessment using the Water Supplying Vegetation Index (WSVI) obtained from Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 data. The result of this study revealed that satellite remote sensing data offer very useful information for assessing and monitoring drought conditions in Wadi-Dama.
