| description | Aim: This study aimed to determine the role of religious orientation, self-control capacity, and forgiveness in predicting marital satisfaction. Method: For this purpose, among all employees of Tehran Oil Engineering and Development Company, 150 people were selected by available sampling method and Bahrami Ehsan (2001) Religious Orientation Questionnaire, Tanjani and Rai Self-Control (2004), Ehteshamzadeh et al. (2010). And completed Enrich (1989) Marital Satisfaction. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: The results of the Pearson correlation coefficient showed a positive relationship between marital satisfaction with religious inclination, self-control capacity, and forgiveness and a significant negative relationship between marital satisfaction and religious deviance (P <0.000). The results of regression analysis also showed that religious orientation, self-control, and forgiveness each can significantly predict the variable of marital satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings of this study show the important role of some interpersonal variables such as religious orientation, self-control capacity, and forgiveness in individuals that can be related to marital satisfaction. |
