| description | Interstitial or cornual ectopic pregnancies are a rare form of ectopic pregnancy which account for 2% to 4% of all ectopic pregnancies. Therefore, early recognition and accurate diagnosis of an interstitial or cornual ectopic pregnancy is critical for the safety and wellbeing of the patient especially due to the increased risk of massive hemorrhage. Treatment options include conservative medical management with methotrexate or surgical intervention with laparoscopy or laparotomy. |
