Description
Summary:Purpose. To determine the anamnestic predictors of severe bronchial asthma in children. Material and methods. We analyzed risk factors of 335 patients with bronchial asthma. We statistically selected 287 patients and developed a prognostic model. Results. The predictors of severe bronchial asthma are combination of factors such as high incidence of ARVI in the first 3 years of life (odds ratio – OR 4.5; p<0.0001), smoking parents (OR 3.9; p<0.01), female (OR 2.06; p=0.041), patient age (OR 1.44; p<0.0001) and the early disease debut (OR 0.58; p<0.0001). Conclusion. The results obtained should be used to predict the severe course of bronchial asthma based on the analysis of anamnestic data complex available in practical healthcare, to organize dispensary observation of sick children.
