He was a dexterous writer, a political activist, a famous journalist of his time and a kind human being. Born in a small village of Bhambhi khan in 1916. Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi worked hard to reach at the heights of education and social status. He was a renowned religious scholar; he worked on Hadith, Fiqah, Tafseer, translations of different religious scriptures of Shah wali ullah into sindhi. He was a famous journalist; he was euditor of newspaper “New Sindh”. His educational work is also plausible; he was Director of Shah wali ullah academy, Honorary professor at the University of Sindh Jamshoro, remained teacher of Arabic in Sindh Madrastul Islam and was lecturer in Sindh Muslim College Karachi. One cannot summarize the efforts and works of Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi in few pages of research it needs an in depth and analytical approach to understand the personality and the work of this great scholar of not of Sindh and Pakistan but of the Muslim world at large. This paper discusses Allama’s life and his contributions in the field of education, literature, politics and journalism.
