Summary:This article is built upon the theoretical basis ofthe Triple Helix Model, which considers the cooperativerelationships existing among University-Industry-Government. The objective is to highlight howimportant this connection is to businesses, governmentand universities for the creation of new knowledge andinnovative activities for the development of a country.The analysis of the theory consulted reveals that there is awide range of studies that consider the triple helix a modelthat is being developed in Latin America, Asia and Europe.Technological change and the need for cooperation andpartnerships among businesses are necessary in orderto achieve greater participation in the market and furtherdevelop the link between universities and industries.From the study, facilitating factors and obstacles encounteredwhile analyzing the topic in question on universityindustryconnections are mentioned. These aspects arerelevant when conducting studies under this perspective.
