description | Two main findings on electromagnetic hadron form factors focussed a large interest of the hadron physics community in the recent years. One is the decrease of the electric to magnetic form factor ratio when the momentum transfer in electron proton elastic scattering increases. The second is the discovery of regular oscillations of the generalized proton form factors in the annihilation process electron-positron into proton-antiproton. In this talk we propose a coherent interpretation of these findings giving a general, dynamical description of the proton in the space-time frame which is based on the presence of a quantum vacuum at very small distances. |
