Summary:Palaeopalynological analysis of two organic Quaternary deposits revealed that plant community of taiga-type with sizeable xerotic herbaceous coenosis were spread in the central part of Carpathian Foreland during the Late Glacial period. The forest-steppe landscape was there. The vegetational successions about 12,500 and 11,000 years before present were different from other zones of Europe.
