Summary:Are there objective criteria for the interpretation and enforcement of juridical norms? Which is the degree of conf ability that the law system offers to the operators and citizens, concerning certainty and juridical safety? This article aims at instigate a critical analysis of this subject, arguing whether the principles and rules of formal logic have applicability in science and in the praxis of law, and whether the socalled “non-formal logics” represent a viable alternative.
