Description
Summary:Superhydrophobic coatings are limited by complex preparation processes and poor mechanical durability in practical applications. In this study, a mechanically robust superhydrophobic composite coating was applied to an aluminum surface that underwent processing with a nanosecond laser (referred to as a superhydrophobic aluminum surface). It exhibits a high water contact angle (WCA) of 158.81°, a low sliding angle (SA) of less than 5°, and excellent self-cleaning ability. The wear test shows its durability, and the corrosion test shows its excellent corrosion resistance. This study provides a framework for the preparation of robust superhydrophobic surfaces that may have potential applications in many fields.
