Description
Summary:To supplement our earlier study [Lu et al., AIP Adv. 10, 015209 (2020)] on the propagation of intense short laser pulse through foils with multiple sub-wavelength sized slits, here, we consider the effects of the interaction parameters on the occurrence of extremums in the light transmission. Our results suggest that for periodic slit distribution, maximum and minimum transmissions occur for L ± d = κλ and L = κλ, respectively, where L and d are the period and width of the slits, respectively, λ is the laser wavelength, and κ is a positive integer or a rational number.
