description The Milanese revolt of 6th February 1853 has long remained in the shadow of 1848, which is merely seemed to replicate. This article highlights its specificities, insisting on the role of refugees in this movement. The conspiracy was prepared from abroad and implemented by actors who crossed either the Piedmontese or the Swiss border. However, the repression of political exiles on both sides of the frontiers after the revolt shows a will to persecute all emigrants, whether they took part to the movement or not.
