Summary:The article presents a rare clinical case of thrombosis of large and small branches of the pulmonary artery, the probable cause of which was the degeneration of the muscle fibers of the wall of the pulmonary artery trunk by type of the cystic medionecrosis, possibly having a viral etiology. The disease was associated with the tumor of the pancreas body, smoldering purulent pancreatitis complicated by the syndrome of disseminated intravascular coagulation.
