Description
Summary:In 1990, official data for Guerrero state showed that one-third of the total population lived in very small communities (with less than 1000 inhabitants), these represented 94 percent of the total number of settlements in that part of Mexico. Thus, the aim of this paper is to present a cartographic image of the spatial distribution of the population in Guerrero. One research result points to the relationship between marginalised regions, both physically and socially, and the presence of very small communities in that state.
