Summary: | The aim of this paper is to analyse the concept of consumer in relation to the concepts of habitus and reflexivity. We depart from the microeconomic perspective as well as rational choice models in order to question rational choice and insatiability issues. We believe that the consumer is multi-determined and multi-faceted by both the diversity of socialization and interaction contexts. The empirical analysis focuses on expenditure lists in order to identify distinctive features in accordance to descriptive variables and to emphasize the relevance of the dichotomy between practical and reflective habits. New hypotheses emerge from the analysis of the constrained relationship between consumer practices and types of reflexivity |
