Summary:Gear Shaving is the most efficient and economical ways to finish gears before heat treatment. The workpiece after shaving operation can reduce the running noise, which often used in the automobile industry. In this paper, we propose a mathematical model of a CNC shaving machine with multi-synchronous axes. The proposed mathematical model can be used to calculate the crowning tooth surface of the gear in parallel-shaving process.
