Description
Summary:In the paper we investigate the problems that accompanied the birth of the “nuova danza” in Italy in the 80s and its configured as “danza d’autore”. In the first part we highlight some particularly interesting moments and themes of critical debate on the phenomenon. We focus, then, the story of the “Manifesto 1992. Danza come Arte Contemporanea” and LAICC (“Liberi Autori Italiani Coreografi Contemporanei”) as an important attempt to self-definition of a poetic specificity and organization of the Italian original dance sponsored by some of the artists exponents.
