Summary:Islamic History is a special part of history which takes place in gene- ral history. This special part of history has some specific methods, tecniques and details. Therefore, not only process of formation of Islamic History but its teaching have included some problems. This study deals with the periods which the process of teaching Islamic History passed throughout the history from the beginning of its formation and writing process. In this context, perceptions and suggestions of the scholars from the West and the East and also the classical problems of Islamic History and their reflections in our time have been discussed. In addition, it has been pointed out some important conclusions on the present situation of Islamic History and the duties and responsibilities of the muslim historians in this field
