Description
Summary:Two main orientations can be identified in neoliberalism: a liberal-social one - ordoliberalism and another predominantly conservative. The ordoliberalism (and the social market economy) are the expression of a German cultural and political development, that marked western Europe. In this paper I emphasize the role that ordoliberalism has had over the Treaties of the European Union, influencing the competition policy, the monetary policy and the system of the social market economy. I inform that the Central and Western European countries have been influenced by ordoliberalism in remodeling their own economic system.
