description The hypothesis: in the case of the Kosovo conflict, the international actors and organisations used new approach regarding intrastate conflicts. Because the international context is changing, our ways of dealing with intra-state conflicts try to adapt. With the help of some basic concepts, like humanitarian intervention, conflict transformation and new style of intervention, the paper analyses the international intervention and the projects that were thought for to help in configurating a long time solution for the crisis. The analysis focuses not only on NATO intervention, but also on EU reaction through its projects proposals for the region. The major core of a new approach is the idea of the responsibility of international organisations to protect, and the idea of solving conflicts through transformation.
