Summary: | The problem treated here is to determine thermo-elastic stress in a thick disc due to interior heat generation within the solid, under thermal boundary condition, which is subjected to arbitrary initial temperature on the upper and lower face at zero temperature, and the fixed circular edges with additional sectional heat supply. The governing heat conduction equation has been solved by using integral transformation techniques. The results are obtained in series form in terms of Bessel's functions. Numerical calculations are carried out for a particular case of a disc made of Aluminum metal and the results are depicted in figures. |
