description The paper demonstrates some results of researching the psychological stability of EMERCOM staff under stress. It features statistics on how different factors in emergency conditions influence EMERCOM staff of different age categories. It is noted that emotional lability depends on the experience and knowledge in a particular field and may decrease at the age of 40 – 50. Experimental data and multifaceted analysis have shown that mine rescue brigade 50-plusers can suffer serious psychological changes that have to be taken into consideration at job assignment.
