Description
Summary:First, general concepts about regional flood frequency analysis are presented. Next, the Discordancy Test for the detection of records with anomalous data that are discordant with the group as a whole is described in detail. Two more tests are presented: the heterogeneity H test based on the simulation of 500 homogeneous regions and the Wiltshire Test, which used the local and regional coefficient of variation to establish a statistic value with c2 distribution. Then, the three statistical tests cited are used in four originally accepted homogeneous regions and the results are discussed. Lastly, conclusions are formulated, proposing the systematic application of the three tests to decide about the homogeneity of the studied region.
