This study explores the outcomes of closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation as a treatment approach for talar fractures. Aims and Objectives: The primary aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of closed reduction combined with percutaneous screw fixation in the management of talar fractures. Secondary objectives include evaluating postoperative complications, functional outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included patients with talar fractures treated at our institution. Patient demographics, fracture classification, surgical technique details, and follow-up data were collected and analyzed. Functional outcomes were assessed using validated scoring systems such as the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score. Results: A total of Twelve patients with talar fractures were included in the study. Closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation were successfully performed in all cases. Postoperative complications, such as infection or non-union, were observed in two patients. Patient satisfaction with the treatment approach was high, with ten patients reporting improved quality of life and reduced pain. Conclusion: Closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation represent a viable treatment option for talar fractures, yielding favorable outcomes in terms of fracture reduction, functional recovery, and patient satisfaction. However, close monitoring for potential complications is crucial, and further prospective studies are needed to validate these findings and refine the treatment protocol for talar fractures.
