The title compound, [Cr2(C2H3O2)4(C4H8O)2] or [Cr2(OAc)4(THF)2] (OAc is acetate, THF is tetrahydrofuran), was obtained by recrystallization of anhydrous chromium(II) acetate [Cr2(OAc)4] from hot tetrahydrofuran.
