Description
Summary:This research aims to question the dynamics of urban territories in their ability to develop innovative forms of development and social cohesion at the centre of which is the cultural dimension. Using the example of applied research carried out since September 2017 in the Malhourtet district of Millau (Aveyron, 12, France), the objective is to study how an ethnologist living in the area concerned can participate in the development and implementation of a cultural project based on oral memories. Findings highlight the extent of the pragmatic and involved approach of ethnology, making possible to consider the way of thinking differently but also to apprehend the cultural, political and social life of a living place nowadays. The concept of cultural and recreational laboratories as described by the French sociologist Jean Corneloup will serve as a framework for reflection.
