Summary:<p class="Resumen">The objective of this article is for graduates in chemistry to appropriate a legal culture that favors knowledge for the management of Industrial Property, so as to favor their professional performance. Therefore, it is revealed that the registration of chemical patents are tools for the professionalization of teachers in the undergraduate degree in chemistry by favoring their pedagogical professional performance in the research, academic and extension dimensions. In addition, it shows the importance of the socialization and commercialization of these scientific results and the impact for the sustainable development of Cuba. For this investigation the methods were used as: analysis-synthesis and hermeneutic-dialectic. Among the research techniques we worked with observation, documentary analysis and specialists' criteria.<strong></strong></p>
