Description
Summary:The article presents, with a short biography, father Vendelin Vasilj’s views on the communistic philosophy of life. It also gives the basic characteristics of his two works: Philosophy of communism and Communism and religion, books which were not known for the professional, scientific and philosophical public of this place. The context, in which the works were made, is also presented, especially taking into consideration the centuries long neglecting of the Christian social doctrine by the former official science. By emphasizing the author’s research discourse which was able because of his direct insight into original Marxist literature, or insight into the published documents of young Marx and Engels, for whom the main protagonists of the communistic ideology did not hear anything, the intention was to offer different image about spiritual and philosophical atmosphere in that period. Besides Vasilj’s views there are also some comments from the home theological-philosophical approach with regard to Marxist answer to the basic life and philosophical issues.
