The research methodology is based on general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, descriptive, bibliographic and generalization. The scientific novelty lies in the expansion of ideas about cooperation between Ukrainian and Czechbook scholars, librarians, bibliologists, bibliographers in the conditions of emigration of Ukrainian cultural figures, as well as in the popularization of the achievements of this cooperation. Conclusions. After the defeat of the national liberation struggle of 1917-1921. in Ukraine it became impossible to develop scientific book science and a significant part of the Ukrainian scientists and cultural figures, emigrating to Europe, continued scientific work, including in book science.
