As the most recent challenges come from the security environment and have profound influences on economic and social life, this paper presents relevant aspects concerning the financial efforts of some states to support security and defence and brings attention to a series of factors that can determine the level of military expenditures incurred. To document this work the author has used a series of studies and databases from national and international institutions and organizations in the field, as well as elaborations by researchers recognized for the value and relevance of their opinions expressed in relation to the issues addressed. |
