Summary:INTRODUCTION Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD’s) represent the largest disease burden of utmost concern from public health point of view. Major risk factors attributing for NCD’s are physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, smoking and harmful use of alcohol. Present scenario shows that India’s burden of NCD’s is escalating. Onset occurs a decade earlier ?45 years as compared to developed countries with onset ?55years.
