| Summary: | Background. Due to the change of a picture of population in Penza region caused
by educational migration there is relevant a question of a research of anthropometrical these
foreign students for comparison of variability of various sexual, age and racial signs. Materials
and methods. The object of the study was 143 girls aged 16-20 years old, born in
1987-1989 in Penza and Penza region. The data for the study were taken from the database
of anthropometric parameters of adolescents in the Penza region. Somatometry was carried
out according to the method of V.V. Bunak, calculation of statistical indicators and indices.
Results. It was found that the residents of the Penza region of this age period are characterized
by normosthenic body type (in 53.15 % of cases), normal body weight (80.42 % of cases), predominantly narrow chest (67.13 %), medium and a high level of physical development
according to the Rohrer index (39.16 % is equal for each indicator), an index of
sexual dimorphism characteristic of their sex (86.71 % of gynecomorphs). Conclusions.
The data obtained indicate the presence of regional features of the physical development of
girls 16-20 years old born in 1987-1989, born and living in the Penza region.
