Description
Summary:This text addresses the reform of secondary education in Brazil and its impacts, notably on the geographic education within the framework of neoliberal policies. For this purpose, we analyze the relations between neoliberalism and education from a panoramic perspective, seeking to understand how this correlation of forces happens, mainly from the 1990s onwards in the national political arena. In this sense, we understand that there was an intense process of degradation of education with a direct effect on the working class, which would have access to an education even more fragmented and technical, directed to the capitalist labor market and devoid of a critical analysis with possibilities of social transformation.
