One of the most famous practices is to regard the 16th - 19th verses of the Sura al-Qiyamah as parenthetic verses. On the other hand, misunderstanding the Quranic text leaves its own effect on giving interpretations of the Quranic verses. The present paper casts a new look unto parenthetic sentences in a comparative mode, hence it is found out that they are not parenthetic verses. Semantically independent, those four verses are contextually related to another universe of discourse, hence their revelation. © Hasanbegui, A.
