Genetic variability for phytic acid and inorganic phosphorous in Indian Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) landraces
Majority of the phosphorous in the seeds of higher plant is stored as phytic acid. Phytate ‘P’ interfere in the protein digestion and chelate nutritionally essential elements, such as Ca, Zn and Fe.
