Summary: |
The article is devoted to the empirical study of the singularities of self-understanding ethnо-cultural identity in the diaspora. The author proposes to consider diasporic identity through the prism of the individual consciousness of the Diaspora, in the context of self-understanding of the subject. Self-understanding of ethnic identity is seen as a subjective aspect of ethno-cultural dialogue: the self-understanding of the subject in the Diaspora is a cultural dialogue at the level of individual consciousness representative of the community of diaspora. The consequence of such a dialogue is a successful social integration of the Diaspora without loss of ethnocultural identity, which leads to the expansion of the boundaries of existential space of personality, understanding new aspects of social and cultural reality.

DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.12731/2218-7405-2013-9-93
