| Summary: | Moldova was impacted by the catastrophic drought in 2007. The southern part of Moldova is perceived as less developed and more suffering by poverty than other regions of the country. The author used the qualitative method of investigation to research the impact of the drought on urban population of the south area of Moldova. The article defines the victims of drought and its impact on the trade of food products, food consumption, servicing services, non alimentary consumption, health, education and migration.
