description This research is based on writer’s previous misconceptions research on chemical bonding. The study aims to calculate the percentage of misconceptions and misconceptions types about chemical bonding. The method used is descriptive. Samples used in this study was 75 students in college. Data collection tool used in this study was an online modified two-tier diagnostic test. The results showed that types of student misconceptions occur in sub concept: determining the type of bonding of a compound based on the difference in electronegativity, determine the type of bonding may occur if the metal and non-metal bind together and determine two examples of ion or covalent bond compounds.
